Our goal in farming is to be able to manage the land in a way that builds soil, health, and community. We strive to always be creating a better ecological "immune system" through crop diversity, rotation, and using ancient farming principles that heal the land, it's occupants, and those who receive our products.
That means that we never use pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers, or any other agents (i.e. non-biodegradable cleaners, etc) that might cause harm to soil, plants, or animals any time or anywhere on the farm. We feel that this, coupled with our management practices uphold a standard that is well beyond any organic certification that we could get.
We take great measures to make sure our animals are comfortable and healthy while always letting them express their "animalness". We realize that stress causes a change in eggs and meat so we keep our birds as stress-free as possible.
